After a childhood spent drawing, painting and modelmaking, Nicholas StHelier gained a degree in Design and Technology/Art at St Johns College, York specialising in Furniture Design and Printmaking. Upon leaving college he gained employment in various guises including working at Warner Bros Feature Animation’s London Studios. When the studios closed after two film projects Nick found work as a video editor in an advertising archive.
Late in 2006 he started experimenting with digital photography and acrylic painting, mainly focusing on portraiture. Over time constant sketchbook drawing and digital experimentation has shifted this focus towards science, nature, exploration and adventure.
Recent clients include the Australian Robotics and Automation Association, Queensland University of Technology and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT.
